The impact of older people's employment on pensions

The article presents the results of a study of the impact of the involvement of older people in labor activity on the income of the pension system in the current conditions of the Russian labor market. Theoretical aspects and empirical data of the positive and negative impact of population aging on economic growth in general and the labor market in particular are considered. According to the results of the study, the following conclusions were drawn: stimulating employment of the older generation should not be considered as a source of growth in insurance contributions; achieving stability and financial stability of the pension system by raising the retirement age is possible only in the short term.
