The article presents approaches to the organization of sectoral transport education in various countries of the world: Russia, Germany, France, Great Britain, Australia, China, the USA, etc. The models of training specialists in the field of railway, air, sea and river, road transport, as well as in the field of logistics and supply chain management. The place of transport education in the system of classification of specialties and areas of training for industry education in European countries, Russia and China has been determined.
