Introduction. Theory and practice of education are the oldest and most complex objects of pedagogical and philosophical thought. While it is widely recognised that family
takes priority in educational matters, society can also play its role in people’s education.
Education outside of society is utopia. Today more than ever the issues of not only general, but also secondary vocational and higher education, including issues of law enforcement in this area, are becoming urgent.
Aim. To highlight the preliminary results of introducing new legislative norms into the
field of moral education.
Methods. Theoretical and methodological analysis of normative documents, scientific
literature, pedagogical experience.
Results. The problems and contradictions that hinder the implementation and development of educational activities based on the norms of the Federal Law “O vnesenii izmenenii v Federal’nyi zakon ‘Ob obrazovanii v Rossiiskoi Federatsii’ po voprosam vospitaniia
obuchaiushchikhsia” [On Amendments to the Federal Law № 304-FZ “On Education in
the Russian Federation” on the Education of Students № 304-FZ] and regulations on innovations in the education system are identified.
Practical significance. The results of the study can be used in the formation and development of a system for monitoring and evaluating the results of activities related
to moral education.
