The article is devoted to the problem of the values of modern Russian vocational education. The authors focus on the contradiction between the organizational and economic nature of the education reform process and the motivational readiness of the participants in the educational process to accept and use the results of the reforms. The article proposes the main dichotomous pairs of values-goals and values-means, which are of fundamental importance for vocational education. Studying and accounting for the diversity of people’s expectations from vocational education is considered as one of the primary tasks of its theory and practice.
